The Data Impact Program supported the State of Maharashtra’s Public Health Department to develop a Nursing Home Registration application to digitize the registration process ensuring data availability regarding private facilities for mapping and planning of resources across the state. The app will replace the current paper-based system, which proves difficult when collating data from the private sector and tracking registrations. It will serve as a pivotal tool to enable real-time data capture and will offer valuable insights into the availability of services within the private sector through geospatial representation. By gathering comprehensive data encompassing infrastructure, human resources, equipment, and diagnostic services, this tool empowers state authorities to structure public-private partnership models efficiently. Furthermore, it will act as a conduit for fostering collaboration and synergy between public and private healthcare sectors. The application will be rolled out to all districts in a phase wise manner with the initial roll out commencing in the districts of Thane and Palghar in Maharashtra.
